Wasatch Life Magazine - Cowboy Poetry Collector's Edition 2009
Howdy Folks
Thanks for attending our Heber City Cowboy Poetry Gathering & Buckaroo Fair. What a wonderful year to celebrate the 15th anniversary of an event that has captured the imagination of Western heritage and cowboy fans throughout Utah and the surrounding states. We hope you have a ball with us over the next few days and take home memories of a wonderful way of life -the cowboy way.
We're pleased to have our headquarters in the new Wasatch High School and offer a hearty "thank you" to school administrators and employees gracious enough to make the transition go so smoothly.
Our sponsors gave generously this year -including Zions Bank, Heber City, Wasatch County, Redmond Salt, Zermatt Resort and a host of others proving that the cowboy spirit is still alive and well in the Heber Valley.
We are also indebted to our "can do" cowboy committee and dozens of volunteers who pitch in to bring you the finest cowboy poetry and Western music you'll find anywhere in the country. Special credit goes to assistant director Mary Kelly who works tirelessly all year long to bring together these precious few days when we celebrate the cowboy way.
The Western way of life lives on, and it remains the backbone of our gathering.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the shows. From seasoned buckaroo to first-time attendees, there's something for everyone.
Grab your hat, pull on some boots, and get set for a terrific time.
Adios!
